Her PhD focused on the technological and spatial analyses, using a GIS, of mid Holocene quarries in arid zone WNSW and the formation and distribution of the resulting assemblages using a non-site distributional archaeological approach to the landscape. Research into these areas has continued in West New Britain, Papua New Guinea. She now has a four year teaching/research ARC Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Sydney working in the Far East of Russia. She maintains a special interest in New Zealand archaeology, hunter/gatherer archaeology of Australia and Papua New Guinea. Her course ARPH 2617, Analysis of Stone Technology, aims to provide students with the essential skills needed to record, analyse and interpret stone artefact assemblages.<br/><br/></td></tr>'); ++rows;

The first was Mozaic v1.0, the earliest web browser to be used in Australia, the second was the Archaeological Computing Laboratory and Dr Ian Johnson - who at the time was looking to fill a position in his team. I spent several years working with the ACL and contributing the the first designs for TimeMap before the arrival of my first child took me away from the academic world and into internet consulting. I spent the next 10 years working as an all rounder, self employed consultant and at one point I was running a small "boutique" web/database server farm servicing the needs of government organisations either side of the Tasman Sea, disseminating map based environmental monitoring data. The stresses of having to do everything from coding to accounting with a fair dose of systems analysis and client consulting in between drove me back to the academic fold in early 2006 to work for a much larger ACL. As Business Development and Project Manager I divide my time between identifying projects with the potential to make use of our skills and facilities, and managing a many of our active projects.
