Field Helper

Field Helper is a desktop application that enables you to quickly view and categorise groups of related digital files and then submit the resulting package to a repository for long term preservation and access.

       A complete rewrite of FieldHelper has been carried out using Adobe AIR.

Download

There is no install process for Field Helper, however Java 1.4 or later must be installed before the application will run. Once Java is installed simply unzip the FieldHelper package to a new directory on your computer.

Windows

Download the zip file of the Windows version of Field Helper.

Start Filed Helper by double clicking on the file called fieldhelper.bat in the directory where you installed the application.

Mac

Download the Mac version of Field Helper.

FieldHelper is a tool designed to enable the collection and packaging of digital files and multimedia objects for submission to a repository for long term preservation.  The package is structured using a METS XML file.
