It seems probable that Jessie’s white father was most likely Walter Parke (the younger Parke brother and co-founder of Henbury), although Strehlow suggests there is the possibility that it could also have been George Elliot, the Henbury station cook. Jessie's eldest child’s name was Baden Bloomfield. Baden was the three-quarter white son of Louis Bloomfield (a prominent man among Finke River pioneers and cattlemen at Henbury. Following Baden, Jessie gave birth to three three-quarter black children – William, Eileen, Elvida. Their father’s name was Ungwanaka (full blood Aboriginal). Jessie also had a child with Allan Breaden from Idracowra Station. Johnson Breaden was born between William and Eileen. |
