As requested, the up-holstered chair was later given to Bob Buck. In his 1935 Field Diary TGH Strehlow records seeing the chair during a visit to Henbury. On June 18 he writes:‘Met Ettie for the first time since passing through Henbury: she has a little daughter herself now. The chair on which my father was carried down to Horseshoe Bend thirteen years ago, now rests before Bob’s fireplace.’ See TGH Strehlow, ‘Book VII Diary Central Australia 1935’, (TGH Strehlow AA316), held at the Museum of South Australia, p 69.
Emil Munchenberg worked at Hermannsburg on two separate occasions, firstly from 9 February 1908 to 5 July 1915; and then 3 July 1917 to 2 May 1921 (Albrecht 340).
