Heurist records can be enhanced by adding non-standard fields for the record types.  That is, Heurist enables a user to add ANY field (detail type) in the Heurist database to a record. 

1. Select a Heurist record
2. Click Edit (record opens in new window)
3. Click Show all fields hyperlink (below the horizontal bar the Additional data option appears)
4. Click the drop-down menu for 'Additional data'
5. Select the detail type
6. Click Add
