Pointers and Relationships

Relationships are one of the fundamental building blocks of Heurist and you will come to realise their power as you use the system.

Why are relationships so important? To answer this question you have only to look at the web and imagine it without the hyperlinks that not only link one site to another, but allow you to navigate within each site. Without them the web would be a set of isolated pages - if you found a promising holiday cottage you would be unable to navigate to its location map, photos of its rooms, its availability calendar or its booking form!

Relationships are implemented in Heurist in two ways:

Any Heurist record can be related to any other Heurist record.
