Take the Tour

Coming Soon: a short introduction to Heurist which gives a quick overview of its main functions and the way to use them through short (2 minute) introductory Flash movies ('lighter' than YouTube, should be viewable even on low bandwidth).

The web tour is divided into four sections:

Collect

Import existing bookmarks and bibliographies and collect new web sites, research resources and notes as you go.

Use the Heurist toolbar or bookmarklet to harvest information from web pages.

Search

Get instant access to personal and shared information, from everyday web bookmarks to bibliographic and research data.

Use simple free-text and advanced search functions to find things rapidly or assemble controlled sets of resources.

Collaborate

Share resources with workgroups or groups of colleagues you define, find new resources and add them to your collection.

Publish

Define, print and publish dynamically-generated sets of resources on your teaching and research web pages.

Publish as bibliographies, annotated lists, maps, timelines, feeds etc.
