• Start Page

1. Click Add Record icon
2. Select 'Journal Article' from drop-down list under 'Bibliographic Record Types'
3. Click Add
4. Enter data into required (recommended/optional) fields
5. Save record
6. Add tag (optional)

Disambiguation

Author(s)

When the data is entered for the Author(s) Heurist will attempt to find an author record.  The Find records pop-up window will appear to verify the data entered.  If there is no matching data the user can enter a new person record as 'Author/Editor' and link the Person record to the Journal Article record. 

Journal and Volume

When the data is entered for the Journal and Volume Heurist will attempt to find a matching Journal Volume record.  The Find records pop-up window will appear to verify the data entered.  If there is no matching data the user can enter a new Journal Volume record and link it to the Journal Article record.
