Click Add Record icon
Select 'Journal Article' from drop-down list under 'Bibliographic Record Types'
Click Add
Enter data into required (recommended/optional) fields
Save record
Add tag (optional)

Disambiguation

Author(s)

When the data is entered for the Author(s) Heurist will attempt to find an author record. The Find records pop-up window will appear to verify the data entered. If there is no matching data the user can enter a new person record as 'Author/Editor' and link the Person record to the Journal Article record.

Journal and Volume

When the data is entered for the Journal and Volume Heurist will attempt to find a matching Journal Volume record. The Find records pop-up window will appear to verify the data entered. If there is no matching data the user can enter a new Journal Volume record and link it to the Journal Article record.
